Gail Engels Barnard, MACCC is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with
more than 25 years of specialized experience in voice and communication. Her
broad and extensive training enables her to individualize sessions to
meet each client's needs.
Gail graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Minnesota, and received training at the Mayo Clinic. She has been on staff at Good Samaritan Hospital and Medical Center and developed a Speech-Language Pathology program for Kaiser Permanente's Oregon/Washington region. Gail has been in private practice since 1987. Gail is past president of the Oregon Academy of Speech Pathologists & Audiologists, and has served as a board member of the Oregon Speech and Hearing Association. Clients have included accountants, attorneys, realtors, students, children of all ages, professors, salespeople, consultants, architects, singers, and actors to name a few. She has consulted for universities, phone companies, public schools, education service districts, manufacturers, TV and radio stations, financial institutions, government organizations, retailers, hospitals, schools, high tech start-ups, and Fortune 500 companies. Gail has undergone additional specialized training for children with Childhood Apraxia, Autism Spectrum Disorder, oral-motor needs, and Delayed Speech and Language, including Hanen™ It Takes Two to Talk & More Than Words programs as well as PROMPT ® (Prompts for Restructuring Oral Musculature for Phonetic Targets). Gail has taught seminars on effective voice use and public speaking skills to businesses, colleges, and private individuals. |
